Think beyond the scale
Choose activities compatible with your condition and circumstances. Starting with something repeatable is often more useful than an unsustainable change. Chest pain, unusual shortness of breath, dizziness or significant limitations call for assessment before increasing exertion.
With insulin or medicines that cause hypoglycemia, exercise may require a glucose and food plan. A high-protein shake does not replace those instructions.
Build a realistic routine
Review whether dinner, caffeine or timing interferes with rest. For maintenance, keep helpful practices: predictable shopping, portions, follow-up and suitable activity. If you regain weight, review the plan with your team instead of responding with increasingly extreme restriction.
- Choose one small action for this week.
- Record practical barriers to discuss at your visit.
- Do not judge progress only by a photo or one day’s weight.
